Okay, so first off, I'm making this for the low-level group members who probably don't know how to make combos. Most of you on this site probably already do, and I'm probably making this for no reason, but hey, better to be safe.
SO....If you don't know what a combo is. Well then. When you are battling somebody and the screen suddenly turns a darker shade and
some words like '1 COMBO' and '2 COMBO' appear on either side of the screen, with your or your opponent's ninja attacking one after another, that's a combo.
I won't get into details about why you should have a combo right now, but it's just better to have one, trust me. More damage. Let's leave it at that for now. For now.
To figure out which Ninja you have that combo, go to your 'Ninja' section (where you make your team) and look to the right where you have some black bars. Two of them should say 'Pursuit Status' and 'Create Status'. Now to explain how this works, I'll be using Team 7, since everybody's pretty much forced to use them at one point.
Now click on the Create Status bar, and you should see a bunch of options appear below. Right now we're only going to focus on 'Low Float', 'High Float', 'Knockdown' and 'Repulse'. Now click on 'Low Float' and you should see Naruto pop up as well as maybe a few others.
Hovering over Naruto, you see a bunch of words. We don't necessarily have to read all of this right now for the purpose of making a combo, thank goodness. Looking to the very left of the small box that appears when you hover over Naruto, you see a few words like 'Mystery', 'Standard' and 'Passive'. Now in what it says next to the Standard tab, it may say 'Low Float' in bolded words, OR if your Naruto is 3* (or maybe 2* as well I don't really remember) it may say that next to a passive. If you were to read that passive, it would say that that is a replacement for the standard.
The Standard attack is just the regular attack for when you hit the enemy. Nothing special. But almost all standards (Like Naruto's) have a chance of causing Low Float, High Float, Knockdown or Repulse. These four 'effects' don't really do anything, just tag the enemy so you can use combos on them.
Now, go to the 'Pursuit Status' tab and under that click 'Low Float'. Sasuke should pop up. Now on the left of his box when you hover over him, there should be another word that says 'Chase', and next to that a highlighted 'Low Float' first and then a 'Repulse'. Chase moves are what make up a combo; this means that Sasuke will attack the Low Floated enemy (caused by Naruto's standard) and cause Repulse.
Now go back to Pursuit Status. What should we do now? Well, taking into consideration that Sasuke causes Repulse after attacking the Low Floated enemy, we should look for someone who attacks Repulse to keep the combo going. So click Repulse, and we see a few ninja.
One of them is Sakura, of course, and next to her Chase we see 'Repulsed' and 'High Float'. If we put her in, we're almost done, we have a 2-attack combo.
But we can make a much higher combo than that with this team. In the blue box that says 'Talent' below your Mystery skills (about bottom-left), click on it and you can, of course, change your passives.
The first Passive you have is based on your chase move. Since Sakura ends the combo with High Float, we want to change your Chase so it either attacks the High Floated enemy or is triggered with a 10 or more combo (which means you've hit the enemy 10 or more times.)
If you don't have one, you can use a Summon once you've hit level 50 to chase the High Floated enemy and cause something, and then equip the chase move you have that chases that. And if you do, make sure to equip a summon that chases whatever you cause from that chase.
So when making a team, FOR NOW, choose your best ninja and look at what their standard causes and if they have a chase that follows that standard, what that causes. Then use pursuit status to make up a team that combos efficiently. If the standard causes Repulse but the chase chases High Float and causes Low Float, you might want to use both black bars at once and look for someone who chases Repulse and causes High Float (like Sakura).
This is probably super confusing, and I know I haven't mentioned lots of stuff you need to take into consideration, but I will in later posts, and for now, this is it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
AND BECAUSE YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS, YOU NOW HAVE NO EXCUSE TO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO COMBOS.
